Some commonly encountered errors while using Fiori answered.
Step1: How to respond if the tile keeps loading for a longer time?
A. Need to check the network and server connectivity.
Step2: How to respond if changes are not updated in the Launchpad?
- Clear metadata cache
Transaction: /IWFND/CACHE_CLEANUP on Gateway Transaction: /IWBEP/CACHE_CLEANUP on Backend and Gateway
Transaction: /IWFND/CACHE_CLEANUP on Gateway Transaction: /IWBEP/CACHE_CLEANUP on Backend and Gateway - Clear local browser cache
- Clear the server side caches
Step3: How to respond if you get “Could not open App” error?
- Check if the OData-Service is activated properly /not
- Check for URL parameters that have been configured for the Launchpad in GUI
- Check the Target mapping parameters and semantic objects for the respective tile
that has been configured - Check for the roles
Step4: A common mistake for setting trusted RFC – I see an error message “Your user is not configured properly. Please contact system administrator” error message when you run Fiori apps.
A. In that case, Trusted RFC setting was not configured by a responsible person who should configure NetWeaver Gateway. NetWeaver Gateway is one of the prerequisites for SAP Fiori and it must be configured properly.
Step5: “Task Facade not implemented for provider” error when you start approval apps.
In that case, some of the approval apps use TASKPROCESSING service which is on NetWeaver Gateway.
- Define system alias for the TASKPROCESSING service.
You should define 2 system aliases and register TASKPROCESSING service. Create a System Alias in the installation guide.

Step6: You may get CSRF token error
In that case, check HTTP/https settings for SAP NetWeaver Gateway
